About Novi

Novi is looking to hire a strategic thinker and actor to serve as Public Policy Manager for the US. This individual will support external engagement regarding financial services policy and regulatory issues across Meta’s family of applications. This role will include policy strategy for the Novi digital wallet, as well as our payment products and services in the metaverse. In this role, you will be part of the global Novi policy team and you will support and contribute to the implementation of the company’s global public policy objectives for payments. In addition to maintaining important relationships with internal colleagues, this role will build strategic relationships with key external stakeholders, notably regulators, government officials, social impact partners and financial industry colleagues. This role will help define our public policy strategy and help guide the development of products and services. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge of the digital economy and deep expertise in financial services and payments issues, including blockchain technology. The successful candidate will also utilize excellent communication and analytical skills to consistently deliver high-quality work under often severe time constraints. They will directly influence and collaborate with internal peers to drive the development and implementation of the company’s public policy strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience and established relationships in financial services, U.S. regulatory agencies and/or legislative and policy offices, with a particular focus on payments, stablecoins, and/or blockchain technology.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and build relationships with key policy stakeholders in tech and financial services arena in the United States.

  • Advocate, internally and externally, policy positions that keep Novi and the broader technology industry competitive and innovative.

  • Develop and execute strategies for engaging with public policymakers around issues important to Novi and the people we serve.

  • Identify, monitor and analyze relevant policy trends, regulatory and legislative proposals, and issues of importance to Novi.

  • Articulate our policy positions in briefing papers, consultation responses and internal policy meetings.

  • Advise internal colleagues and teams on public policy matters to help guide development of products, services and policies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years of Public Policy experience in financial services

  • Experience working with U.S financial services regulatory agencies and policymakers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Law degree, MBA, MPP or other related advanced degree

  • Knowledge of the financial and tech regulatory discussions in the United States

  • Experience in leading policy discussions related to cryptocurrency

  • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining relationships with key policy and regulatory stakeholders in the United States
